Tweed Valley Tourism BID (Go Tweed Valley)

Renewal Ballot Survey 2024

  1. content
  2. The findings of this survey, which will run from 10 to 31 May, will help inform the priorities and objectives of a new Business Plan that we will present to businesses ahead of a Tourism BID renewal ballot in February 2025.

Following this survey period, we will be in contact to arrange one-to-one meetings that will help us better understand what businesses would like us to deliver on their behalf should we be successful in securing a second five-year term for the Tourism BID (from April 2025 to April 2030).

Note: A variety of key national and regional strategies have been considered during the development of this survey, including:

Scottish Tourism Alliance – Scotland Outlook 2030

Scottish Government – National Strategy for Economic Transformation

Visit Scotland, South of Scotland Destination Alliance, South of Scotland Enterprise, Dumfries and Galloway Council and Scottish Borders Council – South of Scotland Responsible Tourism Strategy

Scottish Borders Council – Event Strategy Plan 2022-2027

Tweed Valley Tourism BID – 2020-2025 Business Plan

  8. PART TWO

  9. The Tweed Valley Tourism BID involves payment of a levy by a range of tourism businesses that operate within a clear geographic area. With a renewal ballot in mind, we’d like to drill down and ask what (if any) changes you would like to see in terms of the types of business involved in the Tourism BID and the geographic area it covers.

Currently, the Tourism BID involves around 95 businesses that operate in the following tourism-related sectors: accommodation; visitor attractions; activity providers; galleries and museums; events and festivals; pubs, restaurants and cafes; transport services; outdoor-related retailers (including bike shops).

  10. PART THREE

  11. Finally, we’d like to get an early sense of how you are currently inclined to vote in a renewal ballot in February 2025.

  12. Please complete and return your questionnaire no later than Fri 31 May.
